Who Says Skinny Jeans Are for Girls?

There was a time when clothing for men was very limited in terms of style, colours, patterns and materials. While these times have long since passed, mens clothing can still lag behind womens fashions in terms of innovation, experimentation and design. However, as every year passes, mens fashion are becoming more and more exciting, with thousands of designers around the world creating collections that are invigorating and unique, and best of all, they are just for men. But one item of clothing is lagging behind everything else, and that is the humble pair of skinny jeans.

While some of the most famous men on the planet have worn skinny jeans and are also regularly pictured wearing them, a kind of stigma still seems to surround them, and many men assume that skinny jeans are just for women. However, they couldn't be more wrong, after all, what item of clothing has become more unisex than jeans? Men, women and children around the world wear jeans everyday, so why should a certain style of jean be attributed to just one gender?

While it's fair to say that when skinny jeans came back into fashion, they were primarily aimed at women and girls, they have no crossed over, and are seen by many in the fashion industry as something that men can wear as well. For most men, however, a pair of skinny jeans can seem and look uncomfortable, however, it is possible to carry them off, you don't have to be a rock star or a famous actor with lots of cash to spend on clothes.

When you wear a pair of skinnies, it's all about how you accessorise them and make them your own. So, think about what outfits would compliment a pair of these jeans, such as boots, a shirt and a leather jacket, of trainers, a t-shirt and a blazer. Just like a pair of regular jeans, skinny jeans can look very good during the day and on a night out as well. Just remember that they are an investment, and you can have a lot of fun dressing them up and making them work for you.

As with other jeans, mens skinny jeans also came a wide selection of colours and styles, so if you buy a pair and like the way that they fit, why not try a slightly different pair next time, such as a bright red pair of jeans, a ripped pair, or perhaps go for a colour that you've never worn before, such a brown or cream.

Remember, jeans are not just an item of clothing for women, they are also for men, so bite the bullet, try on a pair when you next go shopping and maybe even buy a pair of mens skinny jeans, it could be the best decision you ever make.

How to Wear Jeans During the Winter

Jeans have become something of a fashion necessity these days, as millions of people around the world choose to wear them everyday. But while other denim clothing and accessories, such as denim jackets and denim bags tend to come into fashion once in a while, the humble jeans have refused to die. But while some people see jeans as something to wear during the summer, they can actually be worn during the winter as well. But how do you wear jeans in winter?

Colours
One thing that's great about jeans, and indeed, denim in general, is that it can easily be dyed lots of different colours to suit the seasons and also, the wearer. For example, this year coloured jeans have proven to be extremely popular amongst people of all ages, with reds, blues, purples, whites and even greens proving to be the most popular colours. While different colours are always popular in the winter, such as dark reds, browns, oranges and blues, coloured jeans are a great way to brighten up the otherwise dull winter palate and bring some much-needed colour into our wardrobes.

Styles
It's not just the colour of jeans that have evolved over the years, but also the style, as people can now choose all sorts of styles and fits of jeans to wear. Everything from straight leg, to boot cut, to bell bottoms, to flares, to skinny jeans, to ultra skinny jeans and even regular straight leg jeans are on offer to every consumer. Which style you choose obviously depends on your preferences, but in the winter styles such as mens and womens skinny jeans work very well with boots and wellies, and can also be very flattering.

Customise
Another great thing about jeans is that they are very easy to customise and make your own. So, if you don't want to buy another pair of coloured jeans you can easily dye an existing pair of yours the exact colour that you want them to be. You can also add other subtle differences, such as adding embroidered patches, buttons, badges and other materials to make them stand out. If you have a pair of ripped jeans, make the rip a feature by making it larger, or even adding other rips in the jeans to compliment it. Studs and spikes are also extremely popular additions to add to jeans an clothing this year, so why not be a bit more daring and for something a little more punky?

However, you wear your jeans, whatever style or colour that you choose, you can dress your jeans whichever way you want for winter, because jeans aren't just for the warm summer months, they are for all year round. So, whether you want to invest in a pair of high-waisted bell bottoms, or pair of womens skinny jeans remember to dress them the way that you want to wear them in winter, because wearing something vibrant during this time can really turn heads. Don't overlook jeans, they really are an all-year-round piece of clothing.
