Jeans That Fit

Who doesn't love slipping into that favorite pair of jeans on the weekend? There are few wardrobe elements more beloved than a pair of jeans that fits perfectly, that move with you, hug where they should and hide what you want de-emphasized. The tricky part is finding that elusive perfect fit... especially when shopping online.

There are multiple size and style elements to consider when looking for a pair of jeans. Size can be tricky, but many manufacturers post sizing guides on their websites to help you choose the size for your best fit.

Style is another issue altogether, and if you are not familiar with the terms used, can be very overwhelming. Jeans have three main measurements, waist, rise, and inseam that are helpful in selecting the size and style that will best work for you.

What is the waist measurement?

You can measure the waist on a pair of jeans that fit you well by holding the pants up and measuring from one side of the waistband to the other. Just double this measurement to get the waist size; a measurement of 12.5 inches side-to-side is a 25 inch waist. If the jeans have stretch, be sure not to pull the waistband too tight; this will prevent you from getting an accurate measurement.

What is the rise?

The rise in a pair of pants is measured from the center seam of the crotch, up the front and to the top of the waistband. Standard rise is usually about 12 inches and sits on the waist, about the belly button. Midrise jeans sit just below the natural waistline. Low rise or hipster jeans sit 3-4 inches under the belly button and have a typical rise of around 8 inches, although some of the super low rise may be much shorter.

What is the inseam?

The inseam is the inside leg length. The best way to measure inseam is to measure a pair of jeans that fit you well in length. Measure the inseam from the crotch, down the inside of the leg, to the hem. If you do not have a pair of jeans the correct length you can measure your body by standing with your legs slightly apart and measure from just below the crotch to the bottom of the ankle. This is easier if you have a friend help.

How do I find the best fit for my body?

Slim: A variety if styles and cuts look great on slimmer body types. Jeans that are straight from the hip than flare slightly at the leg opening are very flattering. If you like low rise jeans, styles with a lower front and higher back are a great choice. If a snug fit is more your style, consider jeans tight at the waist and backside. A variety of styles fitting slim frames are available from designers such as Seven for all mankind, Paper Denim, Buckle, and many others.

Athletic: Many athletic people have muscular legs and narrow waists. To show off those washboard abs without having that annoying and unsightly gap at your waist, consider a low rise fit. Instead of tight or close fitting legs that tend to overemphasize your lower body, try a pant with a generous bootcut. Some brands to consider are Seven for All Mankind and Paper denim.

Curvy: Don't hide those beautiful curves, show them off! Jeans that are fitted through the thigh with a bootcut or flare opening are an excellent choice. Juicy Couture, Gap, Old Navy, Joe's Jeans, Chip and Pepper, and many others make styles to get the most out of your amazing curves.

Full-figured: Traditional styles with a bit of stretch are flattering and comfortable. Many jeans manufacturers like Citizens of Humanity, Old Navy, Gap, and Levi's add a touch of spandex to help fit nicely on your frame. Even 1 percent spandex makes a world of difference for fit and comfort. To elongate your legs and balance a wider or fuller figure, flare or bootcut legs do a great job. Svoboda, Antik, Yanuk and Seven7 are all brands catering to a fuller figure and are available at fine retailers like Avenue, Lane Bryant, and Macys.

Rules to Wrap a Ripped Fashion Jean

It is not necessary to be a rock star or a celebrity to wear these trendy ripped jeans, though I can't deny that once during 60's and 70's these were a trademark fashion apparel of such famous personalities. Naturally, there was nothing more suitable than these ripped jeans for those who hardly got traumatized by critics and most of the times had been busy to entertain people.

Very soon these pants became the most suitable weapon of those who wanted to rebel against the system and the fashion police. They became a trademark of aggression. If you too posses "lets-not-pay-heed-to-what-people-say" nature, then nothing is there to stop you from wearing these sensational and sensuous ripped jeans.

It is a trend accepted and enjoyed by Hollywood celebrities, sport stars, fashion lovers and by all who want to break the rules and make an identity of their own. The "take-everything-easily-and-lightly" philosophy of teenagers make such jeans an instant hit in the wardrobes of teenagers.

However, simply hitting a store is not enough to buy the best pair of ripped jeans. You need to take care of some factors while going for such one. Also you need to learn how to accessorize it and how to choose the most suitable tops and women clothing for it.

No Self-ripping : You ripped jeans must look old and worn-out. Though it is advisable to rip an old pair of jeans on your own, most of times the attempts fail. It happens as not everyone is expert at ripping. After all, using sandpaper and doing sandblasting is not so easy. Also your jeans might not be looking that much older to give a perfect look. However, you are lucky if your dad works in a construction company.

New is Gold : Thus it is better to buy a new pair of ripped jeans. However, there might be varying shades and designs, the best one is one which looks old. Your new pair must look faded. There should be a tinge of blurriness all around the rips. Make sure the rips have layers of threads hanging around.

Not Too Wide Open : Wearing a ripped jeans is always a symbol of unconventional modernity, but wearing something which brings you next to nakedness is no sort of a good move. So, always take care of the numbers, size and the locations of your rips on the jeans. Make sure the rips are no bigger than five to six inches. Also, the hip area should not be ripped too wildly. It is better to rip around knees, calves and thighs only.

Fitting Footwear : Keeping in view its casual nature, you should pair a ripped jeans with such a footwear which enhances its beauty. Sandals, especially wedge sandals are the most suitable ones. Trying out flats and pumps can be other options. I have seen women wearing crocs too. However, nothing can match the magic of the high heels.

Keep a Tab on The Tops : This is the most important aspect to consider. Choose some trendy tops. The ongoing year has brought a craze for purple t-shirts. Put on a floral top. Satin tops in peach, olive and green colors look great. A matching leather jacket works too.

Exciting Accessories : To enhance your fashion quotient in a more prolific way, you must try some good and trendy accessories. Try out some designer necklaces for more modern looks. It is always exciting to choose necklaces and earrings which are similar in colors with your jeans. Just imagine wearing a blue faded ripped jeans with a shining blue necklace made of artificial pearls. Use a designer or metallic belt.

Sexy Jeans for Oversized Women

More oversized women experience the difficulty of fitting their way into the glamorous world of fashion and beauty. The reason? Most superficial societies highly favor slimmer figures and slender curves when it comes to details of a perfect female body. Of course, one size doesn't fit all and although it is ideal, size zero is not synonymous to being sexy. Yes, regular exercise and rigid diet help women to look thinner and sexier. Yet, while training and exercise can be conducive to good health, not everybody has the discipline it takes. In that case, women can use proper clothing to conceal their bulges and other imperfections. The latest trend is to wear sexy womens jeans. The good news is, even oversized women can now have the confidence and comfort in jeans and apparels that complement and suit their form and shape.

Since there are many selections offered nowadays, the only concern is picking the right bottoms. There are some womens jeans today that are too skimpy and further show the problem areas of oversized women. If you are an avid fan of Oprah, you may have picked up already on the tips given by guests and clothing gurus, Trinny and Susannah: skimpy jeans don't look good on any woman. Though magazine spreads, TV commercials, and billboards nowadays feature women in the latest slim jeans, the experts claim that no woman can carry those pants. However, loose-fitting, tapered, or so-called baggy pants won't do good to the figure of an oversized woman, either. According to the duo, many American women make the mistake of being stuck in the 80s and wearing tapered pants. But, more often than not, badly fit pants make you look bigger than you intend to be.

The safer way toward fashion glam is to look for comfort in the cut. A good cut of womens jeans highlights just the right shapes and brings out the assets in your body and personality. Oversized women could choose flared or bootleg cuts so that their flabs, which are usually found in the mid-portion and thighs, could be balanced by the outward bottom part of the pants. Aside from the cut, oversized women can also be sexy by choosing the right style, design, or color for their pants. For curvaceous or voluptuous women who also have large butts to flaunt, pants without or less flambuoyant pockets could be worn for balance. As much as possible, light colors should also be avoided because these accentuate the heaviness of the oversized person. By just considering all these elements, oversized women can definitely look gorgeous in the hippest pair of jeans.

Finding the Perfect Fitting Pair of Mens Carhatt Jeans For Business

Picking out the perfect fitting pair of mens Carhatt jeans can be as challenging as a woman trying to pick out that perfect pair of jeans. The difference between the two though is very simple. Patience… A man would just rather spend his time doing something else rather than trying on various pairs of jeans before finding that perfect one. What you need to keep in mind is that the right fit and the right style are the two most important things that you need to keep in mind while buying a pair of mens Carhatt jeans.

Style

Style is one of the most important things to consider while buying a pair of mens Carhatt jeans. It will define the way you look. Even if you are looking for a classic pair, there is not need to be boring. There are classic pairs that have subtle elements of fashion. These would make an excellent choice as they would still be timeless but not boring. To make sure you look your best at all times in your mens Carhatt jeans stick to the boot leg or straight cut fit. Stay far away from the tapered look that narrows at the bottom and the wide bell bottom look.

Fit

No matter how good and in vogue your mens Carhatt jeans are they will be a complete wash out if they do not fit your body well. To make sure you get the right fitting jeans make sure your crotch and waist areas and legs are not too tight. You should also check to see that the jeans that you are buying look good from all angles including the behind. If you are not happy with the fit of one pair, remember to try on other pairs even thought it might be a painful process.

Length

Men’s jeans tend to shrink a little and therefore you should always buy a pair that is slightly longer than the length that you require. The gives you room to fold it over or make what ever alteration that you think you might need.

Comfort

Another very important factor while choosing your pair of mens Carhatt jeans in of course comfort. There is not point in buying a pair of jeans if you are going to cringe to get into them. When trying on a pair of jeans, make sure that you walk around in them, sit down and check if they are too tight. Check for pocket space – if there is enough space for you essentials like you wallet and keys etc.

Try the jeans on with accessories

While trying on your pair of mens Carhatt jeans make sure you take along the accessories that you wear most often. For e.g. the belt that you wear most often. Trying on your jeans with the belt will give you an idea of exactly how the jeans fit including how and where the waist band falls.

Trials with shoes

Last of all – when you go to buy a pair of mens Carhatt jeans make sure that you are wearing the pair of shoes that you wear most often. Also you need to keep in mind the colors of shoes that you need to match your jeans too. Wearing a pair of shoes while trying on your pair of new jeans also help you see the fall and judge the length of the pair that you are buying.

Suggestions on Approaches to Clothe Yourself With Enticing Extreme Low Cut Jeans

Wearing extreme low rise jeans can be a major fashion statement. Whether or not it's a good one or a bad one is often up to you. Like any extreme trend, this is one that can go terribly wrong. To avoid some major fashion faux-pas, keep reading for tips and tricks on how to look attractive in low rise jeans.

Keep Your Underwear Well Hidden

If you're planning to wear extreme low rise jeans, pair them with a pair of low-rise undies. Flashing your underwear is not only disrespectful, it's sloppy, crass and far from stylish. Just as you would wear a pair of nude panties with white pants or a thong to avoid panty lines, follow the same rules when wearing low-rise jeans.

Get a Belt

The biggest fashion disaster to come out of low rise jeans is "butt cleavage." Essentially, every time you bend over or shift in your seat, the world is invited to look at the top of your bum and it's rarely attractive. Instead, invest in a cool belt that will not only look great, but help you keep your pants in check.

Downplay the Wrong Assets

There's a phenomenon caused by low rise pants that's often referred to in slang terms as "muffin top." This is when a woman's love handles or excess fat around her hips hangs over the top of her low rise jeans, creating an effect similar in appearance to the top of a muffin.

To prevent a muffin top from occurring, start by buying pants that actually fit you. Ideally, they should hang flat on your body with no excess weight or fat hanging over the waist band. In addition, opt for shirts that fit, and never go too tight. If all else fails, you may have to avoid the low rise jean trend all together.

Pick the Right Shirt

If you don't want to expose your midsection, opt for a shirt with extra length. Thanks to the popularity of low rise pants, many clothing manufacturers are making shirts longer. To test out a shirt, try it on and raise your arms above your head and bend over. If your midsection is exposed at any point, then keep looking.

However, some women want to expose their midsection - and while it can be a fashionable move, it can also be a disaster. Showing off a poorly toned and flabby belly to the world is never in style. Remember, just because you can make it visible, that doesn't mean you should.

Extreme low rise jeans can be stylish if they're worn properly and with the right accessories. Remember to buy jeans that fit you well, pair them with a belt, match them with the right shirt and always choose the right pair of panties.

Attractiveness and great style is much more about how a woman wears porportions and displays her garments than the amount of skin she displays. So due caution must be used when considering low rise jeans.

Find the Perfect Jean for Your Bodytype

From the ultra slim drainpipe, to the universally flattering bootcut, jeans have become the ultimate wardrobe staple. Every pair is as unique as their denim wash, and in world where all bodies are not created equal, the perfect jean is often elusive. To aid you in your quest for the best fit, we have put together the most popular styles and the body types they work best with.

Bootcut:

This cut is universal for all body types. Narrow hips look great in a fitted bootcut jean with heels, and if you have curvy hips you will appreciate the balance that the subtle flare of this style brings to your silhouette. Be sure to buy these jeans with enough ease so that the fabric skims your curves, not clings.

Relaxed Fit:

This is a casual cut that provides ease throughout, which is great if you have full hips and legs. If you have a small bum be careful of the bagging of this style around your bottom, as it is not controlled.

Wide Leg:

This is a comfortable style that works great in denim. Wide leg jeans drape over the hips and eases throughout the leg creating a crisp line that’s very flattering. This jean is a great way to smooth over full hips and thighs, and also creates a clean line for women with slender frames.

Skinny Jeans:

This leg-skimming cut is great for showing off lean legs. If like some women you have a full upper body, and slim lower body, use this style to highlight your slender lower body. Petites can visually add height with the long leg line of this jean.

Trouser:

A popular cut for corduroy and khakis, the straight full leg of this cut skims curves for a clean line on all body types. If you have a full bottom or hips, look for a contoured waistband for a flattering fit.

Flare:

Reminiscent of the ‘70s, flare cuts skim the upper leg and widens below the knee. It’s a flattering style if you have a slender lower body, but if you have full hips, avoid very wide flares as it will visually widen the width of your hips, instead opt for a bootcut.

Follow this season’s extreme trends with skinny jeans and denim wide legs, or find your happy medium with the classic bootcut. Whatever your style, its always best to try on jeans for fit before purchasing. Design houses vary their measurements and sizes, and you may find that Designer A’s size 8 may be Designer B’s size 10, so shop wisely!

Places to Unearth Comfy Maternity Jeans For Tall Women

Finding tall maternity jeans can be difficult at best. Already the clothing choices are limited to maternity wear, but when you're dealing with a 34-inch inseam, it can be that much harder.

However, don't lose hope - there are brands and stores out there that work. For a breakdown of some of the best clothing retailers for tall pregnant women, keep reading.

Clothing by RG Maternity

RG Maternity sells its maternity jeans in sizes up to a 36 inch inseam, making them perfect for those with a little extra height. The store is actually branded for "the tall mom to be" and can be found online at rgmaternity.com. It's also a great place to look for longer shirts.

The Gap Maternity Store

Over the last few years, the Gap has gotten much better at providing options for the taller woman. Recently, they started offering tall maternity jeans both on their website and in select Gap stores. These jeans go up to a 34-inch inseam, but you should expect them to shrink at least an inch, so avoid putting them in the dryer.

J.C. Penney Department Stores

Believe it or not, but J.C. Penney actually has a fairly extensive selection of maternity clothing for taller women. They are designed for ladies over 5'9" and offer longer rises and longer lengths (up to 36 inches in some styles). They're also affordable, though not always super stylish.

You can order online, through their catalog or at an actual J.C. Penney store - though most custom-fit items are done through mail-order.

Trendy Mamma Tailors

For $20 + $8 in shipping and handling, Trendy Mamma will take your favorite pair of long, perfect jeans and turn them into pregnancy jeans by attaching a pregnancy panel right to the jeans. If you can't part with your favorite jeans, then opt for an old pair that still fits.

7 For All Mankind

The 7 For All Mankind maternity jeans (often sold at Pea in a Pod) come in long or tall lengths, though they may need to be ordered through a retail store location. These jeans are hyper stylish, and you won't want to give them up after your pregnancy.

Finding tall maternity jeans, even with all the resources listed above, can still be a real hassle. However, the number of choices has skyrocketed in the last few years and retailers are cluing in to the demands of taller women.

It is unfortunate that women carrying a child are not given the priority in our culture that they both need and merit. But it's a reality of the marketplace that since clothing needs for individual pregnancies only last for several months, there is not an easy array of shopping options. Consequently, it typically takes more time and effort to locate clothing that is simply comfortable, much less stylish.

At least, however, there are merchants that recognize the need. So, before you give up all hope and resort to jogging pants, try the retailers listed above.

Slimming Fashion Tricks - Jeans, The Modern Girl's Corset

Once upon a time, all fashionable women wore corsets to define their figures and to allow them to wear the demanding dresses of their day. Corsets would cinch their waists, flatten their tummies and smooth the way for their ultra feminine dresses the natural female form would otherwise find hard to look good in. Basically, corsets give you an hourglass figure.

Boned corsets were worn by ladies in the past to make them look more slender. This corset would be laced tight by their helpers and often, young women, eager to attract the attention of the guy they fancy may request that the corset be laced extremely tight to make their waists exceedingly tiny. The side effect is that these ladies may even faint later, from lack of air. But that's ok. In those days, fainting was considered dainty and could well attract the attention of a handsome suitor.

Thankfully, corsets are no longer compulsory in order for a woman to stay fashionable. Wearing corsets these days is the exception, rather than the norm.

While corsets are restrictive and considered the epitome of femininity, jeans have their origin in rugged masculinity.

During the gold rush in America, the early pioneers needed tough clothing to withstand their rugged lifestyle. Pants that did not tear easily. Enter the denim jean which is so hardy, is became the uniform of the rugged cowboy and the tough guys in the working class.

So what do ultra-feminine corsets and totally rugged jeans have in common?

For one thing, both are made of tough fabric that holds you in. That means, flab and unwanted fat stays hidden and flattened if the clothes are tight enough.

Women who wear the smallest pair of high waist jeans they can slip into are onto something. These jeans act like a corset in that they hold your tummy and flabby bits in. They even make your legs look slimmer.

Although low-rise jeans were hot last in past seasons, it isn't a good idea to wear them smaller than your real size. They are cut low and if they are tight, the flesh above the waistline will bulge out, which means, most of your belly would stick out and look even bigger than ever. Think of it as the muffin-effect. Anything above the waistline overflows. Just like corsets. Flesh over and under the top and bottom of the corset would bulge out. The fat will overflow as they are compressed by the fabric and have nowhere to go but above or below the clothing.

For the corset effect, jeans with the highest waist you can find, which adequately cover your fattest parts are your best bet. The tummy should be completely beneath the waistband. In a sense it can be even more flattering than a corset as it slims your legs as well.

Just make sure that unless your legs are thin, the bottoms of the jeans flare out, or at least do not grip onto your flesh tightly as anything beyond the jeans, if squeezed, will have your flesh bulging out.

So if you want to look slimmer, but not appear like you are trying too hard, forget about corsets.

The Return of Skin-tight Jeans

These skin tight jeans had gone disappeared for some moments, or for some years as it could be rightly said. But they are back and amazingly it is being embraced by teenagers. Interestingly, these are the same teenagers who had made this apparel a smash hit back in 80's.

They are using it to shape up their bulging bottoms, show off their beautiful and well-crafted legs and sensuously muscular calves.

However, if we peep into the history, the use of skin-tight jeans was not a taboo among elderly people also. Especially, those among their 20's and 30's were wearing it with the enthusiasm no lesser in impact than that of teens .

Americans got a first glimpse of skin-tight jeans in 1950's. Elvis Presley, Rock 'n' Roll fame, gave Americans a real shocker when he came in public wearing a pair of skin-tight jeans. Needless to say, it sparked curiosity, debates and things a lot more.

This fashion apparel soon crept in the wardrobes of teenagers with a bang and became a craze unmatched. They found it as a much awaited tool which could help them display their curves and well-finished body shape.

Naturally, for these very reasons, the modern teenagers seem to join this bandwagon.

The way it showed the "some" parts of a teenagers body, it was not abnormal to hear it being related to sexuality. Keeping apart the debates sparked by these jeans on their comfortability and body- friendliness, it was no wonder to see them sporting these stuffs merely to enhance their sex appeal.

Interestingly, apart from being a heartthrob of teenagers, it is widely used by the people associated with various rock bands. Amazingly, it is believed that its use is enough to give any rock band an exciting "bad boy" reputation.

Really, its extensive use by numerous bands like Anthrax, Slayer, Rolling Stone and many more is an example of how it can change the outlook of an entire group. The skin-tight jeans, wonderfully, gave them a negative image they wanted to have.

Its fame didn't only give it acceptability in the fashion corridors, but it also earned various names. Wearers happily gave it some "tickle-the-funny-bone" names like drainpipes, pencil pants, cigarette pants etc.

Hope this stuff is here to stay long.

Undoubtedly, the fashion lovers like not only skin tight jeans but many other fashion apparel too.

Hopefully, a mere click on Exploring Fashion can make you know about a number of other fashion trends.

How to Wear Extreme Low Cut Jeans

Wearing extreme low rise jeans can be a major fashion statement. Whether or not it's a good one or a bad one is often up to you. Like any extreme trend, this is one that can go terribly wrong. To avoid some major fashion faux-pas, keep reading for tips and tricks on how to look attractive in low rise jeans.

Keep Your Underwear Well Hidden

When you wear a pair of white pants do you put on black panties? When you wear a pair of form-fitting dress pants, do you wear underpants that show pantie lines? No? Then why are you wearing high rise underwear with extreme low rise jeans? Flashing your panties is sloppy and rarely fashionable, so pair your low-rise jeans with a pair of underwear that's cut to match.

A few years ago, the term "muffin top" became extremely popular. It's a reference to the excess fat that bulges over a woman's low rise pants that are too tight. The idea is that these forced love handles often resemble a muffin top. It's neither attractive or fashionable.

To avoid this problem, buy pants that fit properly and wear appropriate shirts. Too-tight pants will only pinch the skin more and accentuate the problem. Too-tight shirts will simply work to highlight it. If you can't avoid the "muffin top," opt for a looser, baby-doll style top.

Wear an Appropriate Shirt

If you're self-conscious about exposing your abdomen, then choose a shirt that's longer. Ideally, a shirt should go to your mid-hip level. To test it out, try the shirt on and then raise your arms up. If your belly is exposed, it's not the shirt for you.

However, some women want to expose their midsection - and while it can be a fashionable move, it can also be a disaster. Showing off a poorly toned and flabby belly to the world is never in style. Remember, just because you can make it visible, that doesn't mean you should.

Remember, extreme low rise jeans can be fashionable - when they're worn right. So, always wear an appropriate shirt for your body type, buy jeans that actually fit your body, invest in a belt and wear the right underwear.
