Define Your Body Type for Women Jeans

Knowing your body type can help find ladies jeans that fit you the best. It is rather simple to figure out what type you are and to figure out which type of jeans will look the best on you.

Do you have a full figured body type? The suggested jean for a full figure body type is boot-cut. These have just a slight flare at the bottoms, and usually have a better average fit to them. Instead of being too tight or too loose, they are usually just right. This can help accentuate your full figured body in a great way.

Do you have a more athletic body type? Do you have muscular thighs with a narrower waist? The suggested jean for the athletic body type is low-rise. These help show your fit body off. You could even consider wearing skinny jeans if you wanted to bring out your curves.

Do you have more a curvy body type? Many people that think of 'curvy' think of an hourglass figure. This rings true sometimes. If you want to bring out your curves consider wearing skinny or tapered jeans. If you want to hide your curves somewhat, consider boot-cut or flared jeans.

Do you have a slim body type? A benefit to being slim is the option of more styles to wear and look great in. You can wear almost any type so it really just depends on what look you want to achieve. A slightly flared jean is suggested for slim body types.

Now that you have an idea of what body type you are, you can shop more successfully. You might get lucky and not have to worry about constantly trying jeans on in the store or buying and returning so many online. Knowing your body type is a wonderful benefit.

Designer Jeans - Tips On How To Spot Fake Designer Jeans

Did you know that some manufacturers estimate that 50% of the designer jeans sold in malls, retail stores and online are fake? While we all love the look and feel of a pair of the hottest designer jeans, the thought of spending hundreds of dollars only to find out you just bought a fake is upsetting. The great news is that by following the tips in this article you can buy designer jeans anywhere with a since of confidence that you are getting the real deal. So next time you are shopping for designer jeans here are some things to look for:

Take a very close look at the fabric. Fake designer jeans by definition are cheaply made and the denim is often a coarse material that will feel stiffer and heavier than premium originals.

Pay close attention to the quality of the stitching. Premium designer jeans manufacturers take great pride in their workmanship and reject samples that do not adhere to their strict quality standards. Uneven stitching and loose threads are very good indicators that you are looking at fake designer jeans.

Virtually all designer jeans have some sort of signature stitching on the pockets that makes them unique. Go to the manufacturer's website and become very familiar this because sometimes the difference in fake designer jeans pocket stitching is difficult to spot. If you notice a difference, you can be almost certain you are looking at a fake.

Designer jeans labels will often be the easiest way to identify a fake. Fakes will usually have subtle differences in writing or label quality. Both paper and fabric tags are usually made of cheaper materials than their authentic counterparts. If you spot an exterior hangtag with different paper quality, font or twine attachment it is almost always a fake.

Inspect the buttons. On some designer jeans the buttons are pretty close to the original, however, some buttons are different sizes, have letters missing or in some cases the wrong buttons completely.

Now you have a number of ways that you can identify fake designer jeans. If you keep these tips in mind and spend a little time to get familiar with the specific characteristics of the brands you like most, you will quickly become an expert at spotting fakes. This will be very helpful to you because while there are a large number of fakes around, there are plenty of great bargains on originals around every corner.

Remember that when it comes to shopping for clothing, full retail is for suckers.

Dress Your Jeans

These days, jeans are becoming a basic building block of any wardrobe.
Almost everywhere around the globe, you see people wearing jeans. From high-waist pants, capris, and cargos to tattered jeans and cigarette pants, the variety seems infinite. Jeans are becoming such a moth-eaten that they're coming to close quarters with being a total faux-pas. But how do you squeeze out a savvy style for your jeans without becoming too distinct?

The answer: ACCESSORIZE! Exude style savvy with your jeans using the following tips:

  • For low-waist jeans, use navel diamonds and gems to accentuate a cute belly-button. You can also wrap silver chain-belts around your tummy, to shimmer while you dance "the bump". For a totally 70's look, add on colorful bangles and large hoop rings.
  • For capris, wear anklets - either a slim gold chain to accent a trim ankle or ethnic beads for a "beach-babe" look. You can also add hip body bags for a sportier look.
  • For cargos, those handy Swiss knives bring action to your jeans, as do large backpacks. You can also wear Buddha beads which bring luck for extreme adventures.
  • For high-waist pants, use large dark-colored snakeskin belts to hide the height of the waist. Never use bright colored or diamond belts - it'll grab all the attention.
  • For tattered or ripped jeans, wear kerchief belts for a handy-man look. You can also position a kerchief in your backpocket to call attention to a sexy bottom. Don't use overpolished accessories with the grunge look such as diamond or leather belts - it's an extreme combination.
  • For loose or baggy jeans, more oversized chains clipped from the belt-line to your pocket give you a "gangsta" look. So do vintage pocket-watches, which bring out the "hip-hop" style. And if you're in for the "chicano" look, wear plaids as well as bandanas or hairnets.
  • For cigarette pants, use "l-mac" (colored-transparent plastic) belts for a "be-bop" look. Gold or silver jewelry and fancy anklets can also dress up your jeans. never wear anything ethnic - it ruins the polished style.

How To Make Crazy Dazzle Jeans

Funk up a dull drab pair of jeans with a little bit of flower power. Great for kids jeans or hippie ladies jeans or a project for a teenager, you’re bound to be a trend-setter in funky daisy jeans. Quick and easy to do and not a great deal of artistic flare is needed.

To make daisy jeans you will need…
A pair of jeans (cheap jeans are ideal), thick bleach, artists paintbrushes, thick card, scraps of bright fabric (look in the patchwork box in your local haberdashery) and a needle and thread.

Lay the jeans out flat on a table. Move anything from the area that would be spoilt should it come into contact with the bleach.

Push some thick card up the inside of the right leg of the jeans. This creates a firm base and prevents bleach from seeping through to the fabric below.

Along the bottom hem and up the side seem of the leg to the knee draw 4 to 8 daisies with a biro. The flowers can be assorted sizes. Start off with an “O” shape at the centre and draw six petals or so coming off from the daisy middle. Just draw the flower heads – no stalks or leaves.

Once you are happy with the design go over the daisies with bleach. Pour some bleach onto a plate (thick bleach is best) and using a paint brush, brush the bleach over the biro lines.

You need to work quickly because not only will some brush bristles melt, but the bleach will also be bleaching and attacking the fabric of the jeans. Really you want all the daisies bleached to a similar colour.

Reapply bleach to areas you feel needs it.

When all the daisies have turned white, immerse the jeans into a bowl of water and rinse three or four times to get all of the bleach out. Do not put them into the washing machine because the bleach will perish the rubber seal of the washing machine. Leave the jeans to dry.

You can leave the jeans like this, or you can give each daisy a coloured centre.

Here’s how to colour centres…
Draw around a mug or something onto the back of some brightly coloured fabric. Cut out and with a needle and threads sew a row of running stitches around the outside of the fabric circle. Draw the running stitches up so that the raw edges are drawn in. Flatten the circle out, this is your daisy centre. Adjust the tightness of the “Drawing up” to make the centre bigger or smaller to fit each particular daisy. Sew or Wonderwed the daisy centre into place on the jeans. Use invisible stitching, hemming stitch would be good.

Feeling adventurous?

Try covering the jeans in daisies, the front and back. Or just across the seat of the jeans. The funky design possibilities are endless.

How to Get Best Fitting Maternity Jeans

Congratuations if you've just found out that you're pregnant!

You know when you need to start purchasing maternity clothes when you start bursting out of your favourite jeans and they gradually starting falling down your hips!

This is the point where you can either experiment with the various belly fasteners that are currently on the market to try and get more mileage out of your pre-pregnancy jeans, or bite the bullet and make your first maternity investment into pure comfort! Buy a good pair of maternity jeans.

Bootleg, skinny leg, straight leg, wide leg ..... with elasticated waist pull on or non elasticated waist? Which one should I choose?

Maternity jeans have come a long way and now with so many styles around, its often hard to know which style to choose, so lets look at the fundamental basic styles around.

Staying Up

The most important factor when purchasing maternity jeans has to be the ability for them to stay up. I guess, like most maternity clothes, this depends on your shape, or your baby's shape aka: the bump.

I've tried on a whole heap of different maternity jeans and, in my opinion, maternity jeans with the wide jersey fabric stitched onto the maternity jean waistband is the best style to ensure stay-up ability. If you think about it, it makes sense because the jersey fabric pulls up (and sometimes over) the bump, giving something for the maternity jeans to hold on to.

Of course, there are maternity jeans available that only have a small elasticated waistband and these would ensure comfort, ease of pulling on and will stay up pretty good but the waistband will sit just on the bump at mid point of your belly.

If you really hate the look of the 'pouch' style look with the jersey panel that pulls up over your belly, then opt for the 'under belly' style which look just like non pregnancy jeans and have an internal elasticated system which you can pull in tight for a more snug fit, or release when your belly expands to give more room. The good thing about these maternity jeans, is that they don't look like maternity jeans at all, and you would be more inclined to wear them again after the birth of your baby, whilst slimming back down to your normal size. The waistband usually sits just under the belly as hipsters and this depends on your size and shape of your maternity bump as to whether they stay up!

Maternity wear is now stylish as well as functional and gone are the days of the wide flowing tent-like garments that try to hide the growing bump. Now days, we welcome the use of elasticated, stretchy fabrics like spandex, elastane and lycra that ensure the fabric can grow with your bump and accentuate your new curves and growing bump. Gorgeous maternity blouses, maternity dresses and maternity tops are all available in beautiful modern prints and styles that will look fantastic paired with a great fitting maternity jean.

The most flattering of all maternity jean styles has to be the bootleg cut. This style really helps to balance the silhouette of weight at the mid point of your belly, with the wider cut at the ankle and gives a really streamlined look that in turn, makes you look slimmer. These days, a whole host of colours are available, the most popular being dark indigo, washed blue and jet black.

If you are lucky enough to carry off this season's hottest maternity jean style, then try the skinny leg maternity jean. Popular colours include dark indigo, vintage blue, jet black and washed blue.

Straight Leg maternity jeans are a good alternative to the skinny leg maternity jean as they balance out the leg from the thinnest to the widest point, creating a more streamlined, flattering look to the body. Popular colours this season include dark indigo, jet black, vintage blue, washed blue and white.

Maternity jeans, hands down are a pregnant gals godsend when it comes to good maternity wardrobe investment. There are lots of different price points out there, but of course, this depends on your own personal budget. Don't forget, you will get a lot of mileage out of your maternity jeans for there is a good chance that you will be wearing your maternity jeans well after the birth of your baby until your body shape has returned to normal.

Why Low Cut Jeans Are Such A Hot Fashion Item These Days

Have you ever noticed that as you get older and fashions change, your body seems to change in the opposite direction? When low rise jeans first came out, I knew there was no way this body was ever even going to attempt wearing them.

As I have grown older the idea of wearing the stylish jeans of the younger generation has never really been my thing. I don't exactly have a pot belly, but these jeans seem to demand a six pack stomach and alas, this is not the case with me. Besides, they look so uncomfortable and I wonder if they get any lower when you try to sit down. Oh well, not too be too outdated, I will wear the mid-rise jeans.

The older I get, the more I am constantly wrestling with the idea that I am no longer the young stud I use to be. Jeans are one of the clothing items that I of course still wear a lot of, but my style is much different than that of my sons.

I have never professed to being the king of fashion by any means, but I'm trying to balance my own body needs with the current fashion trends. I definitely don't want to wear the low rise baggy jeans that I'm seeing all over the television, they just will not flatter me or look appropriate for my age. But I like to try and look as good as possible with what I have to work with.

I have found that the regular rise of jeans works really well for me and helps to camouflage the fact that my stomach is slowly growing with age. I work out and stay healthy but nothing I do seems to be able to totally get rid of this little belly I have. But I guess that is just part of growing old.

Low rise jeans are pretty cool looking and I'm sure many of us middle aged men have at least tried a pair of them out, but I still have not seen anyone over the age of 40 that they really looked ok on.

My son's on the other hand absolutely love low rise jeans and I think that is pretty much all they own. Every time we are at the mall they are asking for another pair of jeans. It is an anomaly that they have so many jeans but continue to need more. But I guess since jeans are the current fashion trend there is really nothing my wife or I can do about it.

Low rise jeans are a great invention, but they really are strictly for women and the younger crowd, I'll stick to my regular jeans.

Find Jeans for Your Unique Body Type

Lower garment ‘jeans’ that is known and worn desperately universally today, was not that popular initially. Long before when jeans was not discovered, people used to wear trousers made of cotton and other such fabrics. It was not even the case that jeans gained huge eminence the moment it came into existence. But it was only gradually and lately in the contemporary world that jeans has received global recognition. Formerly its distribution was patchy for instance Asian countries such as India were totally unacquainted with it. But once jeans caught pace, it did not look back. There was also a time when this lower garment reached its zenith. That was the period when almost everybody around the world pined for wearing jeans. Thus though at the last, jeans finally made it to the top. But as an item goes among the masses, numerous small scale and large scale companies commence its manufacturing. As a result the quality of the product goes on diminishing and those rich in fineness are charged massive. However there are few eminent brands that offer quality and that too at minimal cost. An excellent instance of richness blended with many other merits and inexpensiveness is ‘Joe Jeans’ from Active sandals.

Today Joe Jeans has an amazing fan following throughout the world. It is one of the topmost selling brands that has acquired an incredible acknowledgement. There are several noteworthy reasons behind it.

1. The exclusive colors and design of the jeans are one of those conspicuous factors that make people stick to this product. The variety of Joe Jeans shades enable people to be selective. Individuals opt for pair of jeans that is complementary or similar to their uppers (shirts, T-shirts) and even footwear! The design and patterns of Joe Jeans are remarkable. The fabric of this Jeans is given different fit and shapes every time to bring and enhance diversity.

2. The material out of which Joe Jeans are made is quite aqua friendly. Even if it gets wet, it does neither loose its texture nor gets thick and heavy. So people love wearing this jeans while they are going on beach and near other water bodies for a stroll. Whereas comfort is concerned, Joe jeans do provide an excellent ease. Due to the relieving character of this Active product, it has become one of the favorite casuals of many. What more… Joe Jeans is worn even in formal outings and parties.

3. The outstanding feature of Joe Jeans is its affordability. The high as well as the low anyone can desire and actually wear this jeans that does not rest heavy on any pocket. As usual the prices vary with the pattern and style of the jeans, yet they are much mild in contrast to their wonderful quality.

Mastering Men's Jeans - How to Find the Perfect Pair

We’ve reached an “almost everything goes” point in fashion, especially when it comes to jeans. No matter where you go, it seems that the men’s jeans section is full of jeans in every color, size, and style. If shopping is not number one on your list of great ways to spend an afternoon, here are some tips to help you weed through the

  • Style: When you’re shopping for jeans, think about what kind of style you want. If you’re purchasing a pair of jeans for all occasions, you may want to stay away from anything to flashy. This means stay away from pockets that are embellished, jeans that are ripped or have other cosmetic designs like paint, stripes, or different bold color stitching. You also want to steer clear of styles that are over trendy. For example, for a pair of multipurpose jeans you don’t want to buy something like a bell bottom, and please stay away from tapered jeans at all costs.
  • Color/Wash: Choose a color that flattered you body and can be worn with many pieces from your wardrobe. Dark or med-dark blue is a great color because it goes well with practically all shirts and shoes. Darker wash jeans are also great because they can easily be transitioned from casual to classy with a few simple changes to the rest of your outfit. By day, a dark pair of jeans with a track jacket and tennis shoes looks great. As the night progresses, you can keep the same pair of jeans and match it with a button down shirt and a pair of brown or black shoes, for a great going out attire.
  • Width: To look great in a pair of jeans and to really get your money’s worth; you need to buy a pair that fits well. This means as much as you’d love to run in, grab a pair of jeans, and run back out; you’ll really need to try them on. When you try them on, be sure to walk around and sit down to make sure they are comfortable and fit well. Your goal is to find something that fits just right around the hips. Well fitting jeans will not be tight around your stomach, crotch, or backside. It’s also important to make sure they aren’t to lose. You do not want to be able to take them off without unzipping or unbuttoning.
  • Length: It’s also important to pay careful attention to the length of the jeans. Ultimately, your jeans should fall at the top of your shoe. If a pair of jeans is just the right length at the store, you may want to go up one size length wise. When you wash jeans, they usually shrink a little. While normal wear will help to stretch them back out width wise, once your jeans shrink length wise, there is little hope in restoring them to their original fit. Buying jeans a little longer will help prevent your jeans from turning into an expensive pair of high-waters. If possible, choose jeans that are pre-shrunk to help minimize the loss of length.

Crazy Age Jeans - Low-Waist Crazy Age Jeans are Here

An incredible fact that may be hard for some to accept is that Crazy Age Jeans for women is building a unique following of fans that would have no other. It has been around for a while and if you're a teen or young and fashion-savvy lady and haven't got a pair yet, you should get yours.

Over the years, I have seen the designs and style evolve to a point where old designs as still fashionable today. You might wonder, what's the hype about. Well I'm describing what I'm observing, where fans have been the catalyst for the spread of the crazy age jeans fever. I would be naive to say that they are in the same category as LEE or Levi jeans but when a product grows to the point where it has a niche and unique set of fans then you begin to wonder how far it can go.

So what's so unique about Crazy Age Jeans? Very simply, it's durable and the designs and styles are without a doubt unique. In the beginning, it was a teens and young ladies must-have, but with more styles and toned down designs, middle-aged ladies are gunning for a pair. There are many fans with multiple pair of these jeans.

All that said, how does it compare with the crowd of designer jeans in the market. Well it doesn't, that the whole thing about Crazy Age Jeans. And by the way, for me, Crazy Age Jeans would be classed as designer jeans. All depends on your definition of designer jeans. It's not expensive and designs range from the everyday style to the night-out blow-your-eyes-out design. You won't be worried about working your pair of jeans just because they cost so much. Used 'em, enjoy 'em.

Right, okay so you need to know as well that Crazy Age Jeans are in the low-waist category. Meaning, you might show off some rear cleavage if you bend too low. Hey, that's the style. Worn right it gives that sexy feel and trim look through the hips.

I get fed up with all those so-called fashion gurus who say that because J-Lo isn't wearing them any more, that means low-waist jeans are out of fashion. When does J-Lo determine what I wear. Low-waist jeans are one style of jeans along with the mid-waist and high-up 'cover your all' jeans. They are appropriate for different people, on different occasions, in different seasons.

I don't need convincing, Crazy Age Jeans ROCK! They are low-waist and they are here to stay. Capish! My main source for Crazy Age Jeans is at MR-JEAN.COM. I have used others but this is my favourite. Check it out yourself. Happy Day.

How To Create A Unique Style With Jeans

Jeans are a wardrobe staple with staying power; they were invented in the late 1800s by Levi Strauss. Originally considered work pants, jeans were labelled "waist overalls" because of their structure and material. Today, jeans are worn by all ages and for a variety of purposes. They are comfortable, long-lasting and flatter all body types, making them a wise investment in any wardrobe. Since manufacturers base their designs on current fashion styles, many jeans are similar in appearance and fit. Finding a unique pair of jeans is not an easy task and often requires customization.

Color should be considered when seeking a unique pair of jeans. Most jeans come in blue or black, and less commonly, brown and grey. However, these types of pants can be found in almost any color of the rainbow, from red to purple. Choosing a brightly colored jean will provide distinctiveness, but because these shades were popular in the 1990s, they often appear dated. To create a custom color effect, try dipping the legs of a pair of jeans in a mixture of dye one shade darker than the true color.

Jean style is equally (if not more) important. The list of styles is endless, since jeans are considered the ideal companion for any type of garment. Some jeans are well-tailored to flatter a work wardrobe, while other styles are much more casual. To break away from the mainstream designs, any pair of jeans can be personalized. Even novice tailors can easily attach other fabrics, such as lace or embroidered patches, to jeans. For those less inclined, a glue gun can be used to add buttons or objects, or to attach some types of material. Scissors are a great customization tool. An easy way to alter the appearance of jeans is by cutting off the bottoms in an irregular pattern, like zigzags. For a longer-term effect, fabric paint is available in a variety of colors and can be used to create a myriad of designs.

Buying expensive jeans for the purpose of modification is not necessary. Many department stores and thrift shops offer gently used jeans for a fraction of the cost and they are often easier to manoeuvre. Sometimes second-hand jeans are considered superior to new jeans because they have already been washed several times and the fit is less constrictive.

There are also a few new manufacturers on the market who embrace the concept of unique jean styles, a welcome change for the creatively challenged. While most of these designs are not yet available in stores, they can be browsed and purchased online.

Jeans at Work and the Dress Code - What Can You do About It?

efore 1960's jeans were considered mostly as a work outfit worn by blue-collar workers and people working around their house. Then in around 1965, they became popular among the teens. Then about 25 years ago jeans started to step outside the blue-collar environment into corporate America.

Today, while jeans have not taken over corporate America, they are still very much worn at work. Dress code of the companies normally tells us what we have to wear for work. Some companies have strict dress codes, meaning no jeans, no sneakers etc. Other companies have what they call "business casual" attire, which may or may not include jeans. Still some companies require strict dress codes Monday through Thursday, and have what they call "casual Fridays." This may be considered "business casual" or jeans and sneaker casuals.

About 25 years ago, some employers started to adapt to the concept that a relaxed dress code would make a more relaxed atmosphere, and a more relaxed atmosphere would make workers that are more efficient. When you have efficient workers then you have workers who will enjoy their work. However, some employers feel that a casual laid-back dresser might be too laid back and careless about their work. They feel dressing up will cause employees to take their job more seriously. In addition, depending on the type of business, they feel that customers or clients may not take a casually dressed office as seriously as an office where everyone is dressed in business attire.

So, what we should you actually wear for work? Well the question occurs to all. At first thought, most of us would say, "It would be really cool if we could wear jeans to work all the time. But then again, it depends on what type of business it is and what position you hold. The CEO of the company would probably like to wear jeans to work but he or she knows that a jacket and tie somehow seem to command more attention and respect from other employees as well as from customers or clients. Therefore, clothing can make a difference.

Sometimes it creates a good impression on the clients when you are in perfect attire. Impressing the clients is one of the most important tasks in some business. On the other hand, some head officials occasionally like to wear different clothes than the regular ones to show the junior staff members as well as the senior ones that with that attire also work can be done smoothly and in fact more comfortably.

To be realistic, it is very unlikely that corporate America will ever hang up the suit and tie for good. However, jeans have taken their seat in the workplace and it does not look like they are going to give up that seat any time soon. Variety in jeans is many and is increasing day by day so we should expect some changes in near future.

The Perfect Jeans: The Petite Woman’s Guide To The Perfect Jeans

If you are a woman who is 5’4” or under, I am sure you have done your fair share of searching for the perfect jean. If you are petite and slim, you probably can never find the perfect fit and length. If you are petite and curvy, you probably have had to purchase a size larger then get jeans hemmed to get the perfect fit. Regardless of your build, we will identify some of the most common attributes of many petite women and help you find the perfect jean! We even have some great brands that we know will be just what you are looking for.

• If you are Petite and Slim, then you are the woman who has great proportions, in terms of jeans. Your smaller feature, such as bust, hips, and waist, allow you to be able to wear a wide range of brands. You should try to aim for straight leg, cigarette, and skinny jeans. These styles will compliment the attributes that you do have, and pairing any of these styles with stilettos, high heeled sandals, or high heels boots will go far in projecting a taller frame. To avoid looking any shorter, do not choose pant or jeans styles that are cropped, cuffed, boot cut, or flood. These styles will cut your frame off at the ankle or shin! Some brands we recommend are:
o Kasil
o Joe’s Jeans
o Citizens for Humanity
o Goldsign

• If you are Petite and Curvy, then you are the woman who has a bit more generous proportions and needs to find a jean that compliments every curve. Your best bet is with a jean that is a combination of cotton and lycra or polyurethane, this will guarantee a better fit for your frame. A dark denim or true black wash will elongate and slim your frame all at the same time. And for added height, through heels on with your dark denim jeans and you will have a striking effect. Some brands we recommend are:
o Old Navy
o J Brand
o Joe’s Jeans

So ladies, what do you think? Are you now ready to embrace the challenge of finding the perfect jeans for your petite figure? Now that you know what to look for you will definitely be the talk of the town. Good Luck and Happy Shopping!

G Star Jeans - Cut the Cost

During the start of the spring/summer designer fashion season 2007 one of the most popular items of G Star clothing has been G Star Jeans. G Star Jeans are different to regular jeans with mix 'n match shapes and distressed denim look. The one bad thing about G Star Jeans is the price. They do not come cheap.

However, you can still pick up a bargain. Follow these simple 5 tips to ensure that you get a pair of G Star Jeans for a great price.

1. G Star bring out their ranges in April and September. To get the best prices I suggest buying at the end of the season when the stores are trying to shift their stock. Therefore you can normally get a cheap pair of G Star Jeans in late/early February and August. Sometime the prices can be up to 50% off the usual price.

2. If you are buying online I always use discount codes to ensure I get a discount. Normally when you checkout of an online store there is a box to put in your discount code. Do a quick search on Google for the name of the retailer and the discount code (search for: "name of retailer" + "discount code") this should usually produce the code and enter into the site and receive your discount.

3. Be cheeky. I always ask for discounts. Designer Clothing stores have big profit margins and therefore can afford to give discounts. Regular customers can receive discounts up to 15%.

4. I always use price comparison sites if I am shopping on the internet. These sites can save loads of time. Recently they have started to include clothing.

5. Use cashback sites. Most online retailers give 5% of cashback on a pair of G Star Jeans this can as much as £7.50.

Hope these tips save you some cash on you get a bargain on your G Star Jeans at cheap prices.

Curvy Jeans For Curvy Women - Why Don't Many Jean Companies Recognize That Women Have Curves?

First of, let me clarify a bit: Curvy women really describes more than one type of figure; the shapely figure that has a high waist to hip ratio, as well as figures that carry a little extra weight on them.

Either way, curvy women and curvy girls are getting ever increasing notice today. To be curvey is to be sexy. And curviness isn't just limited to hips and torso, but curvy butts also are a special group all their own. Some super-stars like Tyra Banks and Jennifer Lopez have left an indelible impression in our minds of what it means to be curvy. However, there seems to be a lack of curvy jeans available.

How do they find curvy jeans that fit? It can be tough at times as many styles today offer a straight-leg and less shapely style around the thighs, buttocks, and smaller waists. Brazilian jeans cater to the needs of the curvier women, and are quite often the best jeans for curvy figures. There are countless girls out there that have been frustrated by the lack of nice curvy jeans.

Distinguishing between jeans for curvy girls from regular jeans while shopping can be a challenge. When in doubt, just ask! Only in recent times have Lev's, Gap, Express and other mainstream brands really began to boost production of curvy jeans (although they can still be few and far between). Jeans for curvaceous bodies are beginning to become more common.

While we're on the topic, I think there has been a lot of chatter as of late regarding the ideal body shape, but what is the ideal waist-to-hip-ratio? Well, there's no magic number, although you may have heard it was 36-24-36 (inches), or 90-60-90 (cm); but we like this a new formula better: curvy + women = sexy. Just be yourself and appreciate what you have been given whether straight or curvy.

Denim Jeans In European Market

Denim jeans and Europe seem to be made for each other. The relationship goes back a long time. In fact the very word jeans come from a type of material that was named after sailors from Genoa in Italy. The word denim is from another French material serge de nimes.

The end of the Second World War was the time when denim blue jeans gained new status in Europe. Rugged yet relaxing they stood for freedom and a great future. Both men and women wore them. In Europe the surplus Levi’s jeans left behind by American armed forces were now available in limited supplies. They were extremely popular with teens.

The 60’s saw the coming in of slim jeans. They were extremely popular as leisurewear. Teens began to have real fun with them. The 70’s saw the bell-bottoms hitting their peak. Creativity flourished as far as denim jeans go. Customized denim embroidery made an appearance, so too did stud and patched jeans, giving jeans an all new glamorous appeal.

Designer jeans were literally everywhere in Europe and were a symbol of the affluence and status of the society. Leading designer labels flooded the market in the 80’s. Acid wash debuted in 1986 in Europe and took the market by storm. The 90’s heralded the advent of a generation that was more concerned with old-fashioned values, environment and family life.

Jeans has been reinvented from time to time and the new millennium is no different. You can see every major designer coming out with fabulous denim jeans wear. You can find them at catwalks, at chloe, at Versace and at literally every fashion festival. The latest trends like the beaded and the beat-up denim jeans are a rage among youth. So too are torn-knee blue jeans which can be found globally these days, why only Europe.

The coming in of the internet also had its impact on denim jeans in Europe, as in the other part so of the world. You could instantly find and shop for the latest jeans from numerous online resources. This meant that the consumer had a greater choice and need not compromise on quality of the jeans. Freed of all creative restrictions the denim jean is assuming numerous disguises to be worn in and has literally broken every barrier of creativity. From being part of cushions to furniture-coverings to bed spreads, denim has made it presence felt, every where.

Calvin Klein Sunglasses - Coordinate Your Jeans And Sunglasses

Wear sophistication from head to toe when you wear your Calvin Klein sunglasses, T-shirt and jeans. The Calvin Klein collection of sunglasses includes sophisticated frames and modern design to eyewear. You can be part of the new generation wearing fashionable sun glasses when you choose designs in Calvin Klein sunglasses.

There are many different colors to choose from in lenses when you buy Calvin Klein sunglasses. You also have an option of having polarized lenses in certain designs of these designer sunglasses if you want to wear them as boating sunglasses. The polarized feature of designer sunglasses helps to cut down on the glare of the sun off the water and is less harmful to your eyes. However, the regular description does not tell whether the sunglasses are polarized or not.

The frame of Calvin Klein sunglasses is lightweight and made of wire. You won’t find that the sun glasses feel heavy when you need them to see where your lure is in the water. When you wear special boating sunglasses, you won’t have to squint to get rid of the reflection off the water because the specialized lenses in the Calvin Klein sun glasses cuts down on the glare. However, not all the sunglasses in the Calvin Klein line have this technology so you do have to really look for the sun glasses you need for boating and fishing.

In boating sunglasses, most of the designs from Calvin Klein are unisex and do not differentiate between men’s and women’s designs. If you really want boating sun glasses suited for you, you should probably choose the designer sun glasses made just for the outdoors with Oakley, rather than Calvin Klein sunglasses.

The sunglasses you need for boating should have polarized lenses, not just to cut down on the glare, but to give you clearer vision. Although Calvin Klein does have polarized sunglasses, you have to check out each pair individually and read the description to find the designs that feature this technology. This is rather time consuming and unless you really, really want a pair of Calvin Kleins, chances are you will choose some other designer for your boating sun glasses. It is easy to shop for Calvin Klein sunglasses online, but it is not easy finding boating sun glasses in that mix.

But Calvin Klein sunglasses suit jeans and T shirts beautifully.

The Ultimate Maternity Jeans/pants Fit Guide

A tip from me when choosing jeans - stay with your regular AUS size unless indicated on the product description, if you choose the bigger size you may find them too big in the bottom and thighs, and will be hitching them up all the time, as most maternity jeans sit underbelly. The jeans may feel a little snug at first but remember that the denim will give with each wear and wash.

If you ever need any help we are just a phone call away on 1300 PREGGY (773 449) and we'll be happy to help!

OV500- Invisibelly Maternity Jeans by 1 in the Oven

STYLE: bootleg cut, low waist, hipster jeans, full front panel styling

FAB jeans by 1 in the Oven. Over six months in the design and manufacturing to get it right! Tried and tested on many pregnant women in the US to get the perfect fit. The Original InvisiBelly™ Jeans are the very first maternity denim to have a nude belly band, so no more big dark elastic waist peeking through your white tees. Roll down to wear under the belly or up for mid belly fit. Waistband made of super soft, breathable Tactel nylon.

Regular fit - so stay with your pre-pregnancy size, if anything they fit a bit on the smallish side just in the thighs. They may feel quite snug at first but the premium denim will give with each wear and wash. I personally
LOVE the washed indigo denim of these jeans - similar to one by Sass & Bide!

SER0001 - Award Winning Seraphine Jeans

STYLE: bootleg cut, low waist, hipster jeans, front panel styling

These are our BEST SELLING jeans by far! The denim is high quality and super comfy. The back just looks like your regular jeans it's award wining design and fabric is renowned to lift & shape your bottom like top designer jeans. The front panel sits underbelly as you get bigger so you are able to wear these the whole 9 months and even after! Some ladies love the support from the front panel during the later weeks to help ease back pain.

They are low waisted jeans though and the back is quite low but if you are used to wearing hipster styles then you will LOVE these.

SER0002 - Seraphine Straight Leg Black Jeans

STYLE: straight leg, side panel styling, low waisted jeans

They fit under the bump with a front opening zip, looking just like regular jeans. The discreet stretchy sides will fit you comfortably from 1 to 9 months. The back just looks like your regular jeans and they sit slightly higher than the award winning jeans above.

If you don't like the pressure of front panel styling on your tummy then side panels are for you! The same comfortable fit as the award winning jeans above.

SER0008 - Seraphine Boyfriend Jeans

STYLE: straight loose leg fit, side panel styling

Great to disguise curves and flatter your bottom, the expert cut of this jean will really do wonders to your silhouette. Low waist, they fit under the bump with very discreet stretchy panels on both sides of the front pockets.

These are quite a generous fit. In comparison with the Award Winning Jeans SER0001, the denim is very lightweight and softer, also great for those who don't like the firmness of underbump waistband styling as the front of the jeans is just like regular jeans.

JNS110 - Crave Pull On Jeans

STYLE: bootleg cut, front panel styling, low rise

In comprison with the Seraphine jeans - it is the same styling but the Crave jeans are about 1" higher in the waist and sit higher at the back (you can see the difference in the pics if you look where my belly button is). Great for those who aren't used to the low waist hipster jeans and feel they are always hitching their jeans up!

The Seraphine jeans are a dark blue washed softer denim, while the Crave are just a very dark blue denim but will get softer and fade slightly with each wash + wear!
* Unfortunately this style has been discontinued so grab one while you can!! *

JNS140 - Crave Vintage Straight Leg Jeans

STYLE: straight leg cut, front panel styling, dark blue denim wash

These are exactly the same as JNS110 but with straight leg styling. Available in regular or long length. Please definitely order a size bigger as this style is a small cut.

MJ01/MJ02 - MamaJ Classic Denim Maternity Jeans

STYLE: bootleg cut, dark blue denim wash, clever side panel styling, back adjustable button, low waist

The ultimate boutique maternity jean from MamaJ Jeans! High quality denim that doesn't sag or get stiff after washing. Low waist, 5 pocket hipster styling. OV139 - 1 in the Oven Essential Black Pants

STYLE: foldover stretch waistband, the boutique yoga pant!

I LOVE these pants and have been living in them everyday of my pregnancy! I lightened the picture to show the detail of the ruched waistband - totally adjustable so you can wear it over belly or underbelly to suit your mood. The fabric is soft MODAL cotton/spandex which won't pill or fade and stretches back into shape after each wash.

Perhaps not dressy enough for corporate work places, but you will live in these every day especially after bub is born. I'll be sure to pack these for my hospital stay!! 10 stars **********

FM020 - Funmum Bengalin Trousers

STYLE: bootcut leg, foldover waistband, bengalin stretch fabric

These are highly recommended for work at a great price of $78.95 AUD! - the fabric is soft, stretchy bengalin (with a very slight sheen). The top of the pants is the same fabric which can be worn over or underbelly. Stay with your regular size as they are a slightly loose fit.

The Hip and the Rebel Wear Jeans

A wonderful invention in the clothing market that changed the whole concept of how we dress was the humble denim jean. The concept has changed a lot since its inception. It all started with the need of the goldminers for a cloth that would not tear easily when they were panning for gold. Denim was the material used for jeans because it met with their needs perfectly. The credit of starting the wholesale selling of jeans goes to Leob Strauss. Later on he changed his name to Levi. However, the concept of jeans gained popularity because of the movies of 1930s featuring cowboys wearing denim Jeans.

Levi Strauss started to suffer competition from rival companies who wanted a piece of the jeans market in the 1940’s. When these companies realized the jeans market was going to be a very successful one, they moved in with their own products. James Dean gave jeans a new concept by wearing them in movies about teenage rebels in the 1950’s. Because of this association with rebellion, some schools in the United States would not allow students to wear jeans to school. They felt by doing so they were promoting rebellion. This of course ensured the sale of many more pairs of jeans as that is exactly what teenagers wanted!

The world of psychedelic jeans and painted or embroidered jeans evolved during the 60’s and 70’s. The fashion of this period changed the jean styles tremendously by adding a colorful new look. Sales, along with prices, started to soar in the 1980’s when fashion designers began marketing their own style of jeans bearing their own brand label. The jeans that in past years that had been famous for their ruggedness were now synonymous with designer names and high fashion.

The 1990s saw a drop in the popularity level of jeans as the youngsters found carpenter pants and khakis much more fashionable. They opted for something different from what their parents had been wearing. The companies making carpenter pants and khakis flourished in this period. But the makers of jeans did not sit idle; they came up with innovations that looked characteristically different. This appealed to the younger generation and they did go in for some new styles of jeans.

And now in the middle of the 1st decade of the 21st century, jeans are truly back in fashion. As we all know, in the world we live in today, there are millions of different markets selling all types and styles of jeans in a variety of price ranges. Whether you are looking for the designer jeans as a fashion statement or just a pair of jeans that are comfortable and strong enough to work in, there is someone out there making jeans just for you.

Hemming Jeans With A Designer Eurohem

The designer eurohem is a hemming technique primarily used in hemming jeans to preserve the worn hem and stitching of the original hem while shortening the jeans.

Here is how to do that!

Put on your jeans to determine how much you need to shorten them. Fold up the bottom to the length you want.

Mark the bottom fold with a pin.

Check and mark both legs in case one is shorter than the other.

Remove the jeans. Measure the distance from the pin to the top of the original hem stitching. Do NOT include the finished hem in this measurement.

Example: From the pin in the bottom fold (the finished length you want) to the top of the original hem stitching equals 2-1/2 inches.

Divide this amount by 2. Example: 2 -1/2 inches divided by 2 = 1-1/4 inches

Fold up the bottom of the jeans to the outside having the right sides together.

Measure from the top of the original hem stitching down to the 1/2 amount that you determined you needed to shorten the jeans.

Example: In my example, this would be 1-1/4 inches.

What you will actually do is take a tuck in the jeans leg right above the original hem line.

Place a pin right beside the top of the original stitching line. Measure all around the jeans leg and pin to hold the tuck in place right beside the original hem stitching line.

Make sure it is smooth and measures the same all around the leg.

Note: If the jeans are flared, the bottom hem will be larger than the width of the shortened leg.
Then, you must open the inseam of the original hem and shorten it to meet the new leg width.

With a zipper foot on your machine, stitch the tuck close to the original stitching line, removing the pins as you come to them.

The original worn hem and stitching should be visible when you are finished.

Press the original hem down.

Press the tuck up inside the leg if it is less than an inch. If it is more, cut off the extra fabric leaving about 3/4 of an inch to allow for fraying. Press this fabric up into the leg.

On the outside of the leg, stitch in the ditch (well of the seam) on both the inseam and out seam of the jeans to hold the tuck up into the leg.

Press well.

The jeans still have the original hem at the bottom and the tuck is not noticeable.

Low Waist Jeans - Add Some Flair to Your Jeans

Adding your own style to a pair of low-waist jeans you already own is something some people may not think to do. Even if you have not done it before there are many ways to do it easily. Of course, it will depend on what you like and even what may be hip at the time.

You might consider appliqués or jewels to add some style to your low-waist jeans. You can buy these at almost any craft store in UK and even some retail stores. You could choose from a dozen different designs including flowers and butterflies but the possibilities are endless!

If you aren't big on appliqués consider jewels. These can be fun and add simple style to your low-waist jeans. You could put a few just around the pockets or make your own design with them down the leg of the jeans. Once again, you have many possibilities.

Maybe you do not like jewels either. Have you ever considered using an old pair of camouflage ladies jeans and cutting the back pockets off? You could cut them off and apply them to your favorite pair of blue ladies jeans. This gives them a cheap and simple flair without costing you anything!

Before you start any project that involves these ideas, be sure you know how to do it. You can find instructions almost anywhere online or maybe even with the products you buy. To find some great fashionable low-waist jeans, check out www.mr-jean.com.
